Army Bay tunnels
The tunnels under Whangaparaoa Head date from WW2 and are amongst the best preserved
12 foot wall
It's a lot higher than 12 foot when you're climbing it, part of the fun that was had at the Tamaki Leadership Center day out
Much like the 12 foot wall, it's a lot higher and scarier up close and personal, an amazing chance to overcome some fears, thanks Tamaki Leadership Center for letting us use your confidence course.
Sarah the saviour
Our friendly medic was kept busy on our day at the Tamaki Leadership Center, confidence courses and hot days trudging up hills took it's toll.
Tunnels and stairs
At least we were out of the sun and in the cool, careful - it can get very dark 10 meters under the surface.
Stairs and tunnels
Fortunately we only had to go down the stairs - really well preserved as the store rooms were used for live munitions until a decade ago.
